Pallet delivery from Turkey to the UK
Not every order fills a trailer. When your order is below roughly one third of a 20ft container — samples, a trial order of a few pallets of travertine, or mixed pallets of tiles and mosaics — it travels as groupage: your pallets share a weekly truck from Istanbul or Izmir and are delivered door to door in England in 7–14 days by road, longer by sea groupage. You pay for the space and weight you use; the price per square metre is higher than for a full load, and the goods are handled more often, so tiles are strapped and shrink-wrapped and slabs travel in wooden bundles. Pallets are ISPM-15 heat-treated (the stamped "HT" mark), which UK Border Force requires for wood packaging from outside the EU.
