Stone mosaics and waterjet medallions
Mosaics turn quarry offcuts into some of the highest-margin stone products that fit in a container. Turkish plants produce them in two main families: tumbled and honed chip mosaics — marble or travertine pieces mounted on 30.5×30.5 cm mesh sheets in squares, hexagons, herringbone, basketweave and linear strips — and waterjet medallions, where contrasting stones are CNC-cut and assembled into floor centrepieces for lobbies, villas and hotel entrances.
Mesh-mounted sheets install like tile: they are grouted as a field and follow the same setting materials. When comparing offers, check the chip thickness (1 cm is standard), whether the mesh is fibreglass (it should be), and whether the sheet edges interlock — interlocking sheets hide the joint grid and read as a continuous surface.
Medallions are made to drawing. Send a diameter and a pattern reference — or a logo — and the plant produces a pre-assembled, crated piece that drops into the floor build-up on site.
Quantities and lead times
Mosaics ship boxed like ceramic tile, roughly 45–55 m² per pallet depending on chip thickness. Sheet production for stock patterns runs in days; custom blends and waterjet medallions typically need two to four weeks depending on complexity.
Tell us the pattern, the stones and the coverage area — we will quote per sheet or per piece, send physical samples of the blend, and confirm what mixes with the tiles or slabs you are already ordering so the whole project ships in one container.
