Buying travertine wholesale from Turkey
Turkey supplies a large share of the world's travertine, and almost all of it comes out of four basins: Denizli (light, uniform beige), Uşak–Ulubey (classic and silver tones), Afyon (creamy whites with fine veining) and Kayseri (walnut and noce browns). Which basin your stone comes from matters more than the trade name on the price list, because it sets the colour consistency you can expect across a container.
We work directly with quarry owners and processing plants in these regions. That means you order by specification — colour, cut, finish, thickness, edge — rather than by whatever a trader happens to hold in stock.

Cut, finish and thickness
Two cuts dominate: vein cut (sawn along the bedding, giving straight linear movement) and cross cut (sawn across it, giving cloudy, flower-like figuring). Standard finishes are honed, polished, tumbled, brushed and split-face. Holes are supplied either filled (epoxy or cement, ready to install) or unfilled — unfilled costs less but needs on-site treatment, so confirm this before comparing quotes.

Order quantities, pricing and shipping
Travertine is priced per square metre for finished material and per cubic metre for blocks. Published ranges are only ever indicative — the real number moves with colour grade, fill quality, thickness, calibration and order size. Ask for a quote against your exact specification and we will price it against current quarry rates.
How much fits in a container?
A 20ft container carries roughly 24–26 tonnes, which works out to about 500–550 m² of 2 cm tiles or 300–350 m² of 3 cm pavers, crated on fumigated pallets. Most quarries set a minimum around one container; smaller trial orders and LCL shipments can be arranged for first-time buyers.
From enquiry to delivery
- Specify — send sizes, finish, thickness and target volume, or ask us to recommend a grade for your application.
- Sample — physical samples ship by courier so you approve the actual colour range, not a photo.
- Quote and terms — FOB, CIF or DAP, with payment terms agreed up front.
- Production and inspection — batches are checked for calibration, fill and colour match before crating.
- Export documents — invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, fumigation certificate and bill of lading are prepared for customs clearance at your port.
