Travertine tiles for volume projects
Tiles are the highest-volume travertine format and the one where calibration matters most. We supply 1.2 cm and 2 cm thickness in 30×30, 30×60, 40×40, 45×45 and 60×60 cm, honed, polished, tumbled or brushed, with filled or unfilled holes.
For hotel, residential and retail projects the specification that protects you is calibrated thickness with rectified edges: it keeps lippage down and speeds up installation, which usually saves more on labour than the small premium costs. Ask for the tolerance in writing.
Colour is supplied in graded lots. A first-grade lot holds a tight range with minimal filler; commercial grade allows more movement and more fill, at a lower price. Both are legitimate — the mistake is comparing a first-grade quote against a commercial-grade one and choosing on price alone.
Packing and quantities
Tiles ship in cartons on fumigated pallets, roughly 500–550 m² of 2 cm material to a 20ft container. Add 5–10% to your net area for cuts and wastage, and order the whole quantity in one batch wherever possible — a later top-up will come from a different block and may not match.
