What actually moves the price
Two quotes for "silver travertine, 2 cm, honed" can differ by 30% and both be honest. The difference hides in the specification, so fix these before comparing:

Wholesale travertine — frequently asked questions
There is no single number: the price per square metre moves with colour grade, fill quality, thickness, calibration and volume. Commercial-grade 1.2 cm tiles sit at the low end; first-choice calibrated material and thick pavers cost more. Send your exact specification and target volume and we quote against current quarry rates in writing within 24 hours.
Most quarries set the practical minimum around one 20ft container — roughly 500 to 550 square metres of 2 cm tiles or 300 to 350 square metres of 3 cm pavers. For first-time buyers we can arrange smaller trial orders or LCL shipments, at a somewhat higher price per square metre.
Filled travertine (epoxy or cement) is ready to install and gives a uniform surface. Unfilled is cheaper ex-works and suits tumbled, rustic looks — but the holes must be grouted or left open on site. Always confirm which one a quote covers before comparing prices; it is the most common cause of misleading comparisons.
Standard formats in common colours ship in roughly 2 to 3 weeks from order confirmation; special sizes, thick pavers and large slab orders take 3 to 5 weeks. Ocean transit is additional — for example about 14 to 20 days to the US East Coast and 3 to 7 days to most Mediterranean ports.
Every container ships with commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, fumigation certificate for the wooden crates and the bill of lading. Travertine is classified under HS code 6802.21, and we prepare the set your customs broker needs for clearance at the destination port.
Yes — physical samples ship by courier so you approve the real colour range, not a photograph. For larger projects we photograph the actual bundles reserved for your order before loading, and third-party inspection at the plant can be arranged.
