Factory-direct Turkish stone for German distributors
Germany is the largest European buyer of Turkish travertine, and most of it used to arrive through Italian or German importers. Buying direct removes that margin: your order is produced in Denizli, Afyon or Burdur to your specification and delivered by full truck to your yard, as pallets in a groupage truck, or by container to Hamburg. OrderFromTurkey connects stone merchants, tile distributors, installers and landscapers with verified manufacturers of travertine, marble, floor tiles, wall tiles and ceramic & porcelain.
Truck, pallet or container?
| Route | Typical transit | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Istanbul / Izmir → Munich, Stuttgart, Hamburg (full truck) | 5–8 days door to door | Fast restock, mixed pallets, direct to depot |
| Istanbul / Izmir → your depot (pallets, groupage truck) | 5–8 days door to door | Samples and first orders of a few pallets |
| Izmir / Mersin → Hamburg / Bremerhaven (20 ft container) | 14–20 days port to port | Northern Germany, project volumes, lowest cost per m² |
| Izmir → Trieste / Koper, on-carriage to southern Germany (20 ft container) | 7–12 days port to port | Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg |
A 20 ft container carries about 21–24 tonnes — roughly 400–450 m² of 2 cm tiles or 250–300 m² of 3 cm pavers. Pallets must be ISPM-15 heat-treated. Use the container calculator to size your order; ports, pallets and Incoterms are covered in our shipping from Turkey guide.
Duty and paperwork
Worked stone (HS 6802), ceramic tiles (HS 6907) and building materials are industrial goods under the EU–Turkey Customs Union: with an A.TR movement certificate they enter Germany at 0% duty. German import VAT (19%) applies and is deductible as input tax. Every shipment leaves with commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or CMR, A.TR certificate and, for tiles, the EN 14411 Declaration of Performance. See importing tiles from Turkey and how to order from Turkey.
